PBS Kids Scratch Jr. App

Explore coding with your favorite PBS characters. We have been trying out features in class, but if you need a refresher, watch this. Have fun creating and coding!

Redo a coding challenge we worked on in class or try something new! Not all challenges are compatible with chromebooks.

Typing.com

Work on your typing skills! No need to set up an account. You can use the free version. I do not collect information on this. What you put into it is what you get out of it. If you can type faster than Mrs. Sirkin by the end of 5th grade, you will have a special all you can eat McDonald's or Quiznos lunch with her. Your choice. :)

Driving School

Open the "Blockly" App on the iPad.

Click on Puzzles, then Dash (see above robot)

Click on the Plus Sign to add your Robot

Click on the first Light circle to begin your challenge. Take turns in order.

Design School

Go to TinkerCad.com

Use the code for your classroom to get in.

Go to the "Learn" section and do the starter lessons at your own pace.

BitsBox Coding Design

Select a Bixbox book on Coordinates, Variables, or Conditionals. Have fun in the Coding challenges and changing the design to make it yours.

Code

Anyone can learn to code! This is available for ALL GRADE LEVELS. If you want to code, email Mrs. Sirkin (marsha.sirkin@carteretk12.org) to request a code for a class. Then: Go to Clever and then the Code App to Code
